Let In Calm: Dectina Refrain and Haiku

Written for Moonwashed Weekly Prompt (“hope for”)
and Weekly Prompts Wednesday Challenge (“impatience).
Here is my Dectina Refrain followed by a Haiku.

Fret,
Worry,
Useless fears
Swirl in our brains
Dance of impatience
When all we should hope for
Is a peaceful mind and heart
Every day is its own journey
Our destination is preordained
Fret, worry, useless fears swirl in our brains

The journey is short
No time for useless worry
Be still, let in calm

Come Softly: Dectina Refrain & Haiku

Written for Jim’s Thursday Inspiration #231 –
β€œCome Softly To Me
”. Here is my piece,
a Dectina Refrain followed by a haiku.

Do
You hear
Me tapping
On your window
Come softly darling
Sit right here beside me
Kiss my trembling fingertips
Take me in your arms and hold me
Tell me you will never let me go
Do you hear me tapping on your window

A petal soft kiss
Fluttering cherry blossoms
Love’s gentle breezes
