Empty House: A Tricube

Written for Tanka Tuesday where our host, Willow,
has asked us to write a tricube poem on a specific
moment in the day. Here’s my response.

Door clicks shut.
Silence blooms.
Just me now.

Soft carpet,
bare footsteps,
no hurry.

Breathe it in ….
the wide, bright
aloneness.

Nancy’s Notes: A tricube is a poem of three stanzas, each with three lines, and each line is three syllables.
