Written for Sammi’s Weekend Writing Prompt

where we’re asked to be creative in
exactly  words using the word ‘vision’.
Here’s where the prompt took me.

She woke with the vision still burning behind her eyes … a lighthouse, abandoned decades ago, now blazing with impossible light. The intrusive voice from her staticky radio raked her ears while it confirmed her fears: the body of the lighthouse keeper missing for all those years, had been found. In her trembling hand, sand from a beach she couldn’t remember ever visiting fell between her fingers.

  1. Oh, this is weird. I just finished a book where the crazy brother lived in a lighthouse but everyone thought it was uninhabited…except the state officials. They knew but were sworn to silence. 😬 Good one, Nancy.

  2. Oooo, …she did it? …or maybe not, … I’m never right, I never get the suspect, Nancy, … but in so few words you created a fantastic murder/mystery, …💙 (Off I go 🎶listening to Olivia🎶)

    1. Thank you so much, Penn quit. I always guess who the murderer is and Bill always questions if I watch the movie before! I think I got my detective skill by reading all of Agatha Christie’s books. I’m glad you enjoyed this mini-story and Olivia’s song. 🎶 🥰
