RDP Wednesday: dive

Written for RDP where segoil asks us
to get creative with the word “dive”.

I’m the type who likes to go for the gusto …. grab the bull by the horns …. someone who dives blindly and willingly into most things in life …. except water. Nope, I’m one of those “extend-the-excruciatingly-slow-entry-into-cold-water-for-as-long-as-possible” types and I will scream like a banshee if I’m splashed by those ridiculously enthusiastic beach-goers who run into the water like Johnny Weissmuller. Hell, even getting teased by my granddaughter’s outdoor sprinkler makes me shriek like Tiny Tim singing about tiptoeing through the tulips. This also includes intentionally having a cold shower or bath. That’s just barbaric!

There was that one time I jumped into the ocean off a boat without hesitation …. when I was feeling over-heated and seasick and knew my only chance of not losing face or my lunch was to abandon ship! Other than that, I love the water!
