The Lizard Thinks
A grasshopper perches upon my great crown.
He tickles my scales. Should I swallow him down?
But he looks so distinguished, so jaunty, so fine;
I’ll keep him up there …. the good fellow is mine.

The Grasshopper  Thinks
The view from up here is remarkably grand
and I’ve claimed this large lizard as part of my land!
He’s scaly and prickly with spikes on his spine;
I’ll keep him down there as my throne …. how divine!
