Written in response to this fabulous photo by
Brian Dodd at bushboys world, who
graciously allows me to share the beauty.
Here’s where the image took me.

Between the trees, the twilight spills
its violet ink across the hills,
and two pale clouds drift soft and slow,
like sighs the sleeping sky lets go.
No word for this idyllic hue,
the world half-pink, the other blue,
a moment held before the night
drinks down the last of heaven’s light.
