The neon lights flickered as Detective Harry Lawson leaned against the rusted railing of the pier, scanning the murky waters around the Texas Gulf Coast. The night was thick with intrigue, and he was hot on the trail of a jewel heist that had left the city breathless. Rumor had it that a notorious gang planned to sell their stolen gems at a clandestine auction, and Lawson was determined to get there first.

He received a message from his informant: “Come to the old lighthouse. Bring the lady with you.” Lawson frowned; the lady in question was Hope Diamond, a femme fatale with ties to the underworld. He knew she could be trouble, but her connection to the heist was undeniable.

As he approached the lighthouse, Hope emerged from the shadows, a glint of amusement in her eyes. “You’re too late, Harry. They’re already on the move.”

Then we’ll just have to move faster,” he quipped.

Even if we catch them, it’s pointless,” she purred. “They have a plan and there’s nothing you can do to fix this one.”

But Lawson wasn’t about to give up. He had one shot to reclaim the jewels before they vanished forever and he’d be damned if he’d let anything stop him.

Here are the prompts: 1) just below Alamo Bay; 2) Did you bring the diamond?; 3) no medicine for that. We can use one, two, all three or none at all. It doesn’t matter; we just need to be creative.
