Welcome back to another installment of At The Movies.
To all my friends who observe Passover, I wish you a blessed celebration.
Today I bring you “Exodus” as performed by the legendary piano duo of Ferrante and Teicher. This brilliant song was written for the 1960 award-winning movie of the same name. The epic historical drama was directed by Otto Preminger, screenplay adapted from the novel “Exodus” by Leon Uris.

Remember the 1960’s TV show “Route 66”? George Maharis, one of the actors in the movie “Exodus”, was one of the costars of “Route 66”. Can you remember his character’s name on the show? Extra credit if you can name the other star of the show and the character he played?

One was Buzz and the other was Todd. I think Maharis was Buzz and Martin Milner was Todd. I loved that show and I loved the Corvette they drove around in. And I loved the theme song, which I think was credited to Nelson Riddle.

Barely remember Route 66, I think it must have been on a channel we only got sporadically with our ancient aerial!

Route 66 was one of the shows my sister and I would watch together. We had a list of our favorites like Man from U.N.C.L.E. and Dr. Kildare, just to name two. If there was a cute guy on the show, we’d watch. Priorities! 😂

Not quite this early but Thursday I have PT at 7:00AM in CT which is almost a 30 min drive. Gives me time to have my coffee and check emails before heading out.
