Music finds the soul
Like a river seeks the shoal
Playing soft upon a bowl
Music finds the soul
Ringing out, it makes us whole
Filling every aching hole
Like a river seeks the shoal
Music finds the soul

*Nancy’s Notes: Our host, Paul, created the monolet …. a short poem of eight lines with all the lines rhyming. The first line is repeated as both the 4th and 8th  (final line), while the 2nd line serves as a refrain in the 7th. The first two lines are repeated as the final two lines, but in reverse order. The rhyme scheme of the monolet can be expressed as A1/A2/a/A1/a/a/A2/A1 (with A1 and A2 depicting the repeated lines).
