Written for Thursday (AI Art) Inspiration
Today on Thursday (AI Art) Inspiration, Fandango asks us to respond to the challenge, perhaps by writing a story or a poem or just offering our raw reaction as inspired by the AI-created image seen below. OK, kids; here goes!

Dear Madame Rue,
I write to you from my favorite yellow armchair, which is currently the only thing in this house that holds me close.
You may remember me. I am the lady in the canary-colored ensemble who visited your establishment and purchased, at your insistence, Potions #1 – #8, plus the “Deluxe Sampler,” and the little blue one you said was “on the house” (which, I now realize, is the only honest thing you said, as it was worth exactly nothing).
I followed your instructions to the letter. I held my nose. I made a wish. I even closed my eyes. Nothing happened, which I know because when I waltzed into our bedroom that night wearing a very sexy negligee, my dear husband Gerald immediately fell asleep and started snoring like he was sawing logs for the winter.
Potion #3 made the cats follow me around for a week and #4 gave me the hiccups.
Potion #8 smelled and tasted like turpentine …. and still didn’t work.
I now have dozens of empty boxes scattered across my parlor floor, and the maid has begun stepping around them as if it is a crime scene.
Against my better judgement, I am willing to try Potion #9 as I am desperate to regain the loving attention of my dearest Gerald.
However, if unsuccessful, I will demand a full refund, an apology, and frankly, Madame, an explanation of what that sparkle in your eye was about, because I had assumed it was wisdom and now suspect it was just a glare off your gold-capped tooth!
Indignantly, and still un-kissed,
Mrs. Daffodil Whitcombe-Pruitt
PS – Gerald just looked up; he asked if I knew where the sugar was.

Big thanks to Fandango for bringing us another edition of Thursday Inspiration. Be sure to check out Fan’s site for a plethora of posts (and the occasional rant) on different topics.
Thanks to you all for stopping by for a look and a listen.
That’s all she wrote, kids.
See you on the flip side. 😎
Everything on The Elephant’s Trunk was created by me, unless otherwise indicated, and may not be used without permission. Thanks for your consideration. NAR©2017-present.
Such fun, Nancy! Great track too.

Barbara, I couldn’t tell what the woman was holding so I decided to go with a letter and the whole story just fell into place. It’s a classic song everybody remembers. Thanks for your great comments. 😃

Repeated failures, though, should get you DOUBLE your money back, no?

Great story, Nancy and if that Love Potion #9 doesn’t work it looks like there will be No Sugar Tonight for Mrs. Daffodil Whitcombe-Pruitt.
