Many thanks to Rochelle for using my photo.

Beneath the bruised midnight sky, the city’s heart pulsed with a fierce, cobalt light. The grand plaza fountain awoke, its waters transforming into liquid sapphire arcs that spanned the asphalt like a cage of stars.
Sirens wailed in the distance, but the Blue Wizard ignored them, gripping his glowing talisman tightly. He had broken the ancient seal.
As the sapphire streams leaped higher toward the towering stone monoliths, the barrier between realms dissolved. Shadowy guardians rose from the luminous spray, answering his silent summons.
The mortal world was about to change forever, and the magic could no longer be contained.

Nancy’s Notes: The fountain in my photo is located in the center of the large roundabout at Plaça de Francesc Macià in Barcelona, Spain. It was planned in the early 1930s by renowned architect and former Director of Parks and Gardens, Nicolau Maria Rubió i Tudurí. The central pond was consciously shaped to mimic the outline of the Balearic island of Menorca and features a small grass island showcasing a 1953 sculpture titled Joventut (“Youth”) by artist Josep Viladomat. Many of Barcelona’s fountains located in prominent roundabouts are beautifully lit up with vibrant colors after dark. The photo was taken by my son on a recent visit to Barcelona.
