seen below. This is Friday Fictioneers.
Vain Wayne considered his lounge chair the crown jewel of the city pool. Relaxing under a bright orange umbrella, he raised his iced latte toward the scaffolding dangling high above, dramatically toasting the crew of sunburned window washers.
“Must be nice down there!” one called out.
Suddenly, a fierce wind caught Wayne’s umbrella, launching it upward like a rogue missile. It soared twenty stories before wedging between the scaffolding’s safety ropes, blossoming into a perfect canopy.
The window washers cheered and the pool-goers laughed uproariously when Wayne realized his platinum blonde toupee had been carried off by the renegade umbrella.
