Written for Living Poetry. Bartholomew
asks us to write an autumn poem, using
the words “autumn”, “bright”, and
“island” and this image for inspiration.

The crimson forest bends to greet the shore,
Mirroring a bright and amber glow,
As autumn paints the island evermore,
In quiet ripples drifting soft and slow.

Beautifully written. 🍂✨ You capture autumn’s quiet magic so wonderfully the changing colors, gentle melancholy, and sense of reflection that comes with the season. There’s something deeply peaceful and nostalgic in your words. 🍁🤎
