Once upon a cloud-topped mountain lived a small dragon named Pip, who preferred his solitude but often felt frustration bubbling up like fizzy soda …. mostly because he couldn’t breathe fire yet.

Why can’t I roar like the others?” he grumbled, puffing smoke rings instead of flames.

One day, Pip happened to notice a lost child wandering near the cliffs, searching for the path home. The forest creatures gathered together and began to judge the situation …. too dangerous, too steep, too scary.

But Pip knew he had to protect the child, whatever the cost.

He spread his wings wide, creating a cozy haven from the wind and rain, and guided the child down the mountain to safety, glowing softly instead of roaring.

All the people in the village cheered “Hurrah!” That was when Pip realized bravery wasn’t about fire …. it was about keeping others safe …. no excuses.

From then on, Pip roared with joy, never in anger.
