Written for dVerse Poets Quadrille Monday:
Jumpstart Your Poem. Our challenge, put
forth by De Jackson, is to write a poem in
44 words, including the word ‘jump’.

Stand at the edge, let courage rise
Jump toward the vast and open skies
Face every storm, outlast the night
Break every chain and claim the light
Fear may shout, but freedom calls
Leap with your heart beyond the walls
Choose life. Stand tall.

A lovely positive poem my friend …
Here on the last rung, I stand
Below, I see a treeless land
Above, I hear a breathless sky
After the show, I untangle my necktie
And I ask you why
“Does it matter, when I leap, what route do I fly?”
