Big thanks to Brian at Bushboy’s World
for allowing me to use his cool photo.

Green trailer, white board, bold red-and-teal type,
a name that stops traffic before the food’s hype.
No modest description, no shy little claim ….
just two loud words doing all of the game.
The falafel inside might be crispy and gold,
stuffed pockets of chickpea, as tradition foretold,
but nobody’s tasted a single fresh bite ….
they’re standing outside ’cause that sign’s a delight.
Some marketing genius, half cheeky, half bold,
knew great names sell better than any dish sold.
Bushboy walked by and just happened to snap it ….
now the internet’s chuckling, and no one can cap it!

Absolutely genius marketing! 😄 That movie scene is still funny all these years later, but the song – not really my taste. Still, congrats for finding one that suits the topic!

Couldn’t agree more, Debbie. What a classic movie. The song is not one I’d ever voluntarily listen to but it worked for this poem. Thanks!

Very true, my friend. I am unfamiliar with any of Harry Stiles’ work; this was a lovely song. Thank you. 🎶💙
