Written for dVerse Poet’s Pub: A Light
Burst of Air. Our host, Lisa, invites us to
write a quadrille using the word “puff”.

Smoke curls slow, a silver puff
rising past crimson-painted lips.
Diamonds wink in candlelight,
each ring a secret confession.
Curls fall soft against bare shoulders,
eyes half-closed in velvet dusk.
Sultry mouth exhales a story….
half-dare, half-caress….
one puff, one pause, one perfect spell.

Lots of men are turned on by women who smoke …. or so I’ve been told. 😊 Thanks for a wonderful comment and soundtrack, dear friend. 🎶💙
