One Ray Davies bestest ever songs my dear friend 🎵💙🌏🥰💕😎
“Celluloid Heroes” by The Kinks is a song that explores the complex and often paradoxical nature of fame and celebrity culture. It humanizes the larger-than-life figures of Hollywood by highlighting their personal struggles and vulnerabilities, juxtaposed with the enduring allure of stardom. The song’s message is a sobering reminder of the cost of fame and the longing for a world where “celluloid heroes never feel any pain” – a world of perpetual glamour and immortality that is, in reality, unattainable.
