The Turn

Written for Rena’s Xploration Challenge
where our inspiration is ‘changing seasons’.

I have taken inspiration from this paragraph and condensed it into a poem:

The seasons shift like unspoken truths — summer’s blaze softens into autumn’s hush, winter’s silence yields to spring’s renewal. In each turn, the human heart mirrors the cycle: burning with desire, retreating into reflection, and blossoming again with fragile hope.

Summer burns what spring began,
desire bright as afternoon ….
then autumn lays its amber hand
across a fevered tune.

Winter comes with hollow grace,
a silence deep as thought,
where our hearts, turned inward, trace
all that fire wrought.

But nothing stills for long; it sings
of growth, a fragile green ….
of hope, stubborn, ancient things,
risen and unseen.

So we turn, as seasons turn,
unspoken, true, and slow ….
always burning, always learning
how to let things go.
