High Altitude

Laughing Along With A Limerick.
The prompt word is “weed”.

Image by Me & Grok

A fellow who smoked lots of weed
Decided to plant a new seed;
It grew to the sky
And he started to fly
At a truly remarkable speed!

He drifted past clouds in the blue
With nothing in particular to do
He waved at a bird
And it seemed quite absurd
When he shared a quick snack with it, too!

    1. I’m very pleased to know that, Christian! It was great fun creating this limerick. The Byrds have long been a favorite act of mine. We saw them in 1970 at the Fillmore East; they played an extended version of “Eight Miles High’ which was perfect for the audience at the Fillmore. We have such great memories of that place!

  1. My nephew is a big fan of Reggae music, and he is always toking on something. His birthday is coming up and I got him a card, but I wanted to ask you if I could write your poem on the inside of the card, as I think he would enjoy that, Nancy.
