Written for Tanka Tuesday where Robbie
asks us to write a syllabic poem about trees.
Here’s where the prompt took me.

My Tree, My Pic

it simply opens, and the
whole world sips rosé

Thank you so much, Eugi. When we planted this tree, it was no more than 3 feet tall. It is now so big, I have to go into my neighbor’s yard to see the top! It has grown in leaps and bounds, even after being pruned several times. I’m so glad you enjoyed reading about our tree. 🌳

It really is a splendid tree, so much larger than we anticipated, but that means plenty of shade in the hot afternoons. Thanks so much, Chris.

Thanks, Jodi. You should see the whole thing; it’s huge! The squirrels used to jump from the tree to my roof …. now they just mosey on over!
