A plump and daring young toad
Tried crossing a too busy road.
With a hop, skip, and splat
He became a doormat.
It’s a wonder he didn’t explode!

He’s missed very much, that’s a fact
And there’s really no bringing him back.
Yes, they’re singing the blues
But it’s not all bad news.
He’s a smash down at the toad shack!
