On Dewy Grass: A Sijo

inspiration. Here’s where the prompt took me.

Small ears catch the wind’s gentle whisper,
dew still fresh upon the grass.
Alert eyes reading every shadow,
watching, waiting, still as stone.
A young heart beats wildly in the green;
one soft breath, then gone.
