Written for dVerse Poets Pub ~ Poetry Form:
Golden Shovel. The line I have chosen can be
seen below. Grace is our host and this is my poem.
I have chosen the following line from βTreesβ by Joyce Kilmer:
βWho intimately lives with rain.β

The house is quiet but for you, who
have crept into my side of the bed, intimately
curled, the way only a child lives
so trustingly, your small hand with
its dreaming grip, your breath soft as rain.

Nancyβs Notes: A Golden Shovel poem is created by taking a line(s) from an existing poem and using each word in that line, in order, as the last word of each line in a new poem.
This is βGood Nightβ by The Beatles
Everything on The Elephantβs Trunk was created by me, unless otherwise indicated. Thanks for your consideration. NARΒ©2017-present.
