#438 where we’re asked to be creative in exactly
57 words using the word ‘clinomania’. Here’s my take.
Bailey hated being in the army. Never an early bird, he just wanted to sleep late. Even the scratchy blanket and lumpy mattress didn’t disturb his sleep. The doc said he had clinomania but he still couldn’t get a medical discharge. Bailey hated surprise 5AM drills and wondered why they couldn’t have surprise 5AM pancake breakfasts instead!

Waking up to an alarm clock is bad enough, but I am sure being woken up by a bugle call would be much worse.

Which is why Irving Berlin wants to murder him! I haven’t used an alarm clock since I retired in 1976; I hate the idea of being rudely awaken. My internal clock works perfectly and I’ve never been late for anything. That’s the truth!

Yeah, for no more 4 AM get up days, tending to my “carers’ ” commitments, and then getting ready the start of the plumbers’ workday.

I don’t think I suffer from this Nancy, … but I do hate getting up early now, (I’m forever pressing that snooze button) … so I’m in total empathy with Bailey, … (and if you’re serving pancakes at 5 am, I’ll be there, …)… 💙

Pancakes should not be served for breakfast only and in my house, they’re not! Do you have IHOP in the UK? It is, after all, the International House of Pancakes!
Lately I’ve been sleeping in but I’ve never used an alarm clock; I hate those jarring noisemakers!

I’ve just googled, and nope, … no IHOP, in the UK,…🥞 ( IHOP does not operate in the UK: IHOP has locations in the Americas, the Middle East, and Asia, but not in the United Kingdom.) Sheesh!
