Three cool cats, so clever and sly,

Played poker wearing jacket and tie.

They’d just deal with a purr

And not making a stir,

Clean house with a glint in their eye.

      1. I’m up and about, the winter sun is shining, and off to the chemists to get all my medications (drugs) for my Canada trip. I was going to drop into the Pub and a few Bon Voyage drinks with the boys, but best I stay away and save my energy for Saturday’s event. It’s a Life Members Day at my Football Club, and I’m a special guest.

            1. Yes indeed. Our local Japanese hibachi place has a life size Velvet Elvis painting in the lobby by the water feature. They also have a framed photo of Sinatra’s Only the Lonely album where he’s wearing sad clown makeup, a poster of the guy from the ginsu knife commercial and a signed photograph of Chef Boyardee. Bill claims there’s also a stuffed beaver in the hallway to the men’s room but I think the killer hot peppers made him hallucinate one night. I won’t discount it entirely, however, as there’s a rather gaudy statue of Romulus & Remus being suckled by a she-wolf on the toilet tank in the ladies’ room. God, I love hibachi.

  5. A glint in their eye? Nancy,… I’d definitely watch out, you never know, an extra card up their jacket sleeves, purrfectly hidden, …💙 ( and that’s the first song by The Beatles I know nothing about, … wow, don’t they look young?)
