Did as his woman did command
A voice from above yelled “Well, Goddamn!
The two of you, get off of my land!”
Adam and Eve were all alone
For their Father did disown
They now must reap what they have sown

Leola always laughs when I listen to the Bridge on the satellite when I’m in the car. Do you know all the words to all the songs? Of course! I’ve only listened to them for 50 years!
It’s also funny when a song has a brand new life with a new artist and the kids ask me how I know the lyrics!

Oh, all those old standards are the best; I know the words to all them too because my parents played them. I adore the duets with Lady G. and Tony B. My favorites.

I have this image of my parents dancing to one of the oldies on the radio, in the kitchen! They went dancing at least once or twice a month, everyone in their generation did when I was growing up. There were various clubs.

I’m pleased to know it made you think, Michele. Hard to believe but Joni Mitchell wrote and released this great song 55 years ago! Sad to think people were paving over paradise that long ago and still are. 🚕
