Written for The Unicorn Challenge where we are
asked to get creative in 250 words or less using
the photo below as inspiration. This is my story.

“Good grief, woman! Are you done dragging me o’er hill and dale? I’m exhausted and I need a breather.”
“It hasn’t been that bad, George. Why must you always make a mountain out of a molehill?”
“Surely you jest, Dame Edna! My feet are on fire, my back is breaking and my bladder has reached the bursting point.”
“Shut up, George, and stop exaggerating! It’s only been an hour.”
“Humph! Sixty minutes of my life I’ll never get back.”
“I’m a bit worn out, George, and my ankles feel dreadfully swollen!”
“They look as thick as usual, Elsie, but your udders could use a milking.”
“Why do you always have to be such a disgusting swine, George?”
“Oh boo-moo, Martha. Your incessant lowing has given me a headache.”
“ I feel a bit lightheaded, George. I need something to eat.”
“When don’t you need something to eat, Martha?
“Oh, look! There’s a quaint little food stand!”
“Good work, Kemosabe! Although with so many items available, I wonder if anything is good.”
“Beggars can’t be choosers, George! Just go sit on that bench next to Yoyo.”
“What are you babbling about now, woman?”
“You know, George. The……creature……from that ridiculous space movie.”
“Do you mean ‘Yoda’, oh Queen Bovina?”
“Potāto, potǎto. Which reminds me, George……do you want fish and chips?”
“Yes, light on the grease……my awful IBS, y’know. Really, Martha! This is a hairy cow! How could you not recognize your own mother?!”
(Martha to concessionaire) “One fish and chips please….extra greasy.”

Thanks, Destiny.
PS: I hate to be picky but I’m really not a fan of the word “cute”. I wrote a post about my pet peeve a while ago but I don’t think you saw it. No worries. Just me being me. Thanks! ☺️

Laughing here as well. I adore playing with George and Martha; they allow me to vent and get it all out which would otherwise get me in trouble! 😂
Thanks, Michele. Have a wonderful weekend! ☀️

You were definitely milking the hielan coo image, Nancy (Sorry, couldn’t help it!)
What a pair!
An endless supply of insults, graciously borne while quiet revenge is executed.
But she’ll probably pay the price when his IBS kicks in.
(From his comments, George seems to watch a lot of TV!)

Just googled hielan coo; needed to make sure what exactly you were referring to. Could have been embarrassing!
I was chuckling as I wrote that bit about IBS. I hope Martha has the common sense to leave George at their hotel while she goes out for a lovely Trenta iced cappuccino!
Funny stuff, Jenne! Thank you.

You made me laugh about the coo, Nancy!
Never heard of a Trenta iced cappucino – it’s noted for the next time I’m in a Starbuck’s.

Excellent! A laugh is always good!
Don’t tell me you have Starbucks in Scotland and France! I’m appalled!
Trenta is Italian for 30, the largest size Starbucks at …. er, 31 ounces. Thirty-one in Italian is trentuna, which would be a breeze to pronounce for Scots and their famous roll Rs!

They remind me of couple I spent time with on my recent trip – constantly bickering but totally in love!
A delightful tale, Nancy.
