Written for Tanka Tuesday. Our host,
Colleen, invites us to write an American
Cinquain on a theme of our choosing.
I chose National Kentucky Day.
‘Tucky
Fair bluegrass state
Horses run wild and free
Rolling green hills under the sun
Proud land
Bourbon
A rich, warm glow
Old stories softly told
Where southern hospitality
Abides

How about a Nancy day? Or a Susan Day? I’d like a day to celebrate me 🤣🤗

Haha! Ask and ye shall receive! National Susan Day is Feb 27, which also happens to be my birthday. I will celebrate you on that day, Sue! National Nancy Day is July 27; who knew?? 😂
