Written for fun and for RDP where Punam
has tossed out the word “hodgepodge.”

Potatoes and coconuts can travel through the U.S. mail unboxed, with the destination and return addresses written directly on their surfaces or on securely attached labels. They still require appropriate postage, determined by weight. Mailing coconuts is especially popular on the Hawaiian island of Molokai, where the post office’s Post-a-Nut service has helped visitors send these unusual souvenirs since 1991. Mail-a-Spud sends russet potatoes decorated with personalized messages, turning the vegetable into an unexpected delivery.
If you think coconuts and potatoes make a strange combo, a “hodgepodge” if you will, think again! Here’s a recipe for a spiced coconut/potato soup:

You read it here first, kids! 😎

It’s a pleasure, my dear friend. Save those bananas; you never know when you’ll need to make an Itmims escape! 🍌 🚀

How funny is the mind!
My first thought (after smiling at the cool idea of mailing coconuts) was the story of Keith Richards falling out of a coconut tree at age 62.*
Keeps me from feeling old. lol
Fun post
*might be a touch of apocrypha to the tale… not necessarily a 70 tree (but it did happen in Fiji, so there’s that)

I remember when that happened. He suffered a bad head injury. Wonder if he was even aware! 😎

The Coconut Shy is a traditional game at English fairs, carnivals, and church fetes where players throw, roll, or pitch a wooden ball at coconuts balanced on short posts or stands, trying to knock them off. The phrase “Roll a bowl a ball a penny a pitch” mimics the rhythmic sales pitch of the fairground stall owner, inviting passersby to play.

This ‘hodgepodge’ sounds kinda good, I would have to leave out the sweetcorn though. Now I want to go buy a coconut and mail it 😂Bark Bark
