“Bet you’re surprised to hear from me. All those years you and the guys used my deformity for sport. Then you stole Maggie from me, too.”
“Fred, I’m sorry, man. Really.”
“Save it. Cancer’s finishing me faster than your words ever could, so I paid your house a visit tonight.”
“What did you do?”
“Sweet Maggie. She screamed beautifully, Chief. Best work I’ve ever done. I’m hanging up now; one bullet left, and it’s mine. Go home, see what’s left of her.”
