Written for dVerse Quadrille Monday –
Mything Poems. Our host, De Jackson,
invites us to get mythical …. in 44 words!
Here’s where the prompt took me.

Before time, Silence and Thunder
loved each other across the void.
Their arguments became lightning.
Their reconciliations, rain.
One night they argued so beautifully,
the sky cracked open and stars poured out.
They’ve been fighting and making up ever since.
We call it Weather.

I totally enjoyed combining something as mundane as the weather with something as thrilling as romance. The image was an added bonus! I’m so pleased you enjoyed them both. Thank you, Yvette. 😌

nice poem, Nancy and that picture is also wonderful. The battle between Silence and Thunder represents a classic philosophical and tactical struggle between explosive force and stealthy containment. It is the timeless tension between the unseen preparation of the strike and the overwhelming nature of the release.

Thanks for this detailed description, Jim; always much appreciated and I admire how you always do your research. I enjoyed creating this poem with a romantic vibe and was thrilled with the way the image turned out. I think it’s one my best from ChatGPT. Thanks again!
