Thanks, Heather! Here’s where the prompt took me.

In my opinion, Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd is the quintessential album for any serious rock music fan. It perfectly balances experimental studio production, philosophical lyricism, and massive radio staples like “Money” and “Time,” making it an album meant to be experienced front-to-back. Released in March, 1973, it was conceived as a concept album that would focus on the pressures faced by the band during their arduous lifestyle, and also deal with the mental health problems of former band member Syd Barrett, who had departed the group in 1968. The Dark Side of the Moon became one of the best-selling albums of all time. Although it held the #1 spot in the US for only a week, it remained on the Billboard 200 albums chart for 736 nonconsecutive weeks, from March 17, 1973 to July 16, 1988.

It’s a phenomenal album. I’ve got the two posters that came with the album but I seem to have lost the two stickers!

The very definition of a classic album. This came out during my second term at uni and I bought it during the Easter holiday, from the proceeds of my holiday job working on the night shift in a factory making packet meals. Some memories just stick with you!

My brother Floyd Jr. would have agreed. Not sure about my dad, Floyd Sr., though.
