Here’s where the prompt took me.
The sky cracked open without warning. A wall of black swallowed the horizon in one gulp, and the air turned electric …. heavy, alive, dangerous. The fierce thunderstorm barreled in, taking the family by surprise. Rain fell sideways, brutal and cold. Lightning split the darkness wide…. one savage, blazing seam across the sky.
