Inferno: A Badger’s Hexastitch

Weekend Challenge
word ‘hell’. I am using

my image. Here’s where the prompts took me.

it burns
flames reaching high
firelight eats the darkness
wood burns down to gray ash
the bowl grows cold
hunger

hell waits
beneath each flame
patient for the fire’s end
ready when ash settles
and claims its own
darkness
