RDP Saturday: timid

Written for RDP where Punam asks us to
get creative with the word “timid”.
Thanks, Punam! Here’s where the prompt took me.

Once you’ve suffered the pain of heartbreak or betrayal in a relationship, you typically learn a valuable lesson. You’re wary about trusting anyone and are doubly timid about allowing that type of duplicitous person into your life again. You don’t want to make the same bad choices.

This 1989 rockin’ glam metal number is an anthem of resilience and wariness in love. The narrator gets his heart broken when he learns that his sweetie is a party girl who makes the rounds with the guys in all the rock bands.

Happy Saturday, my friends!

  1. Very nice, Nancy. In this song, a rock musician meets a girl when he is out on tour and becomes intimate with her.  He thinks she is young and innocent until to his dismay he discovers she has been around quite a lot and been with a lot of other musicians.
