The cat throws wide his yawning, pink complaint,
while city streets below still sleep in grey.
A cold cup waits …. no one has time today.
The world outside looks bleary, small, and faint.
While city streets below still sleep in grey,
the cat throws wide his yawning, pink complaint.

Nancy’s Notes: A biolet is a six line poem in which the first two lines are repeated as the last two lines, however in reverse. The rhyme scheme can be expressed as ABbaBA (with the capital letters representing the repeated lines).

This is “59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin’ Groovy)” by Harpers Bizarre
