Written for dVerse Poets Quadrille Monday –
“Writing Down the Bones”. Our host, De Jackson,
asks us to create a poem using any form of  
the word “bone”. Here is my quadrille.

Bony Moronie was skinny, we’re told.
Her bones rittle-rattled in winter’s harsh cold.
Napoleon Bonaparte stopped her one day;
“Mon cherie, won’t you eat, s’il vous plait?”
Bony shrugged with a grin, “Pfft! C’est la vie!
Smoking le bone, is just right for me!”
