Written for RDP, where Punam asks us
to get creative with the word “time”.
Thanks, Punam! Here’s where the prompt took me.

Happy Saturday or Sunday, my friends …. depending on your time zone.
In 1995, Pink Floyd released its live double album, P·U·L·S·E, which was recorded during the European leg of the 1994 Division Bell tour. Compiled from various performances, the album features Floyd members David Gilmour, Nick Mason, and Richard Wright, highlighted by a full live performance of The Dark Side of the Moon and the ambient “Soundscape”. Primarily recorded at Earls Court, London, in October 1994, the core lineup is supported by several touring musicians including Guy Pratt (bass) and Jon Carin (keyboards). The beautiful backing singers are Durga McBroom, Sam Brown (daughter of musician Joe Brown), and Claudia Fontaine. This trio provided the backing vocals for the entire 1994 Division Bell Tour and is part of the extended live band line-up that supported David Gilmour and Pink Floyd. P-U-L-S-E was a commercial success, debuting at #1 on the Billboard 200 in the US and capturing the peak performance of the band in the post-Roger Waters era.
Today I am featuring Pink Floyd’s “Time”, recorded live in Pompeii. I suggest you go full screen and turn up the volume. Enjoy!

Love this live version! They were one of my soundtrack bands to the seventies…one of the first rock albums I remember is Dark Side of the Moon…I remember that cover as a 7 or 8 year old from a friend of my sister…along with this song.
