It was a good trip …..
not the usual
surreal
melting images
as in a Dali painting.
This time he sat
alone
in a room,
peacefully waiting.
And when we saw him
we knew
by his
euphoric glow
that he really
did
see
God.

  1. I had some interesting experiences with ‘tripping’ but the absolute best was when just feeling a great calm while listening to some music. Nothing wild or crazy, no hallucinations, just a step closer to a world-mind.Nicely written 👏

    1. Thanks, Shaun. This was about my husband, circa 1973. I never really liked tripping; I either felt nothing at all or I didn’t like how I felt. I can remember being at a concert while tripping; our seats were in the upper section. When I stood up to leave, which meant going down some stairs, the steps looked like they were 3 feet tall. I was holding on to the backs of the aisle seats and making exaggerated climbing movements with my legs to get down to the lower level. It was very disconcerting. I wanted to feel what my companions were feeling but it never happened.
