54 words using the word ‘drum’. Also for
Sue & Gerry’s Weekly Prompts Weekend Challenge
using the word “journal”. Here’s my take.
She found her late mother’s notebook in the attic; the pages had turned yellow and brittle.
Each entry began the same way: Today I was blessed.
Outside, rain continued its steady drum against the roof.
She uncapped her pen, turned to a blank page in her own journal, and wrote those same four words.

Now, that’s the right way to start each day and each journal entry. I am remembering a couple years ago finding my mom’s journals after she passed. I love the ending!
