Written for Living Poetry where
Bart challenges us to write a
“clairvoyant” poem. Here’s my take.

He gazes deep to glimpse what fate will bring
The crystal ball reveals each cosmic clue
His poker hand or next week’s romantic fling
But mostly that his rent is overdue
The universe declares in cosmic spill
“You really should have paid your cell phone bill!”

Ha ha! Very cute, but more accurate than the predictions of great fortune.
