My Photo

The plant gods blessed me with a green thumb; however, I cannot for the life of me grow orchids. If you want an orchid dead, give it to me. The image you see above is of some of my house plants; the photo was taken this morning. All the plants are real and thriving …. except for the orchids. Any orchid plants you see in the image are artificial; that’s the only way I can have orchids that last more than two weeks.

  3. I can keep all plants alive but I let the orchids die because they were a real pain in the butt. I see them at Meijer Gardens and that’s enough. Your plants are gorgeous, Nancy! They have such good light where you have them.

    1. It’s a wonderful room, Lisa; we get sun/light from dawn until around 3 or 4 p.m., depending on the season. I didn’t show my African violets or philodendrons; they’re on the other side of the room. And my Amaryllis is blooming again for the fourth time since Thanksgiving. I really should have included it in my photo. Thanks for your very nice comments, Lisa. Keep enjoying the orchids at Meijer Gardens!
