An Inconvenience

Written for OLWG #293.
The prompts are below.
This is my story.

I came into the world with one small cry; my lack of enthusiasm at being born was surpassed only by the apathy of the woman who birthed me. Let’s get real; no point calling her my mother. She spat me out from between her legs in the back of a pickup truck, got her stuff together and left me hanging out to dry. Later at the Iowa 80 Truckstop, as the driver of the pickup lowered the tailgate, he heard the faintest of whimpers coming from under a pile of rags. He found me, somehow still alive, and brought me home. That’s when my story really begins.

Here are the prompts: 1) where I come from; 2) freight trains and trucks; 3) laundry on the line. We can use one prompt, two, all three or none at all. It doesn’t matter; we just need to be creative.
