Prophecy

Today at RDP, our host Martha Kennedy would
like us to share a story, poem, photo, painting, essay,
etc., centered on the word ‘howl’. The image is from

Mike Jackson at Only Murders In My Mind. Here’s my take.

In the ancient scrolls, it was written that the world would be consumed by fire. “And the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat,” God declared. The people trembled at the prophecy, and fear spread like wildfire.

But a few wise sages interpreted the words differently. They believed that the fiery howl was not a sign of destruction, but of transformation. It was a call for the world to be reborn from the ashes, to rise stronger and more beautiful than before.

And so, the people prepared …. not for the end, but for a new beginning.
