‘algorithm’, ‘waxwork’, ‘razzle-dazzle’, and ‘elicit’.
Here’s my flash in exactly 38 words.

Bernie in computer graphics said he followed the algorithm exactly but the waxwork museum opening night did not elicit the hoped-for rave reviews. Instead of Freddy Krueger’s “Slashin’ Razzle-Dazzle”, the theme was more like “Meltdown On Elm Street”!
