Here’s To You, Mr. Robinson

Written for Crispina’s Crimson’s Creative Challenge #051.
I chose pic #3. The image reminded me of a cinquain
I wrote last year. I had a lot of fun with it

and decided to use it again. Here it is!

  1. That’s so true about seagulls! I was born in a coastal town and the horrible birds were the scourge of our lives!

And from a Caroline Jones fan: thank you for playing one of her songs 👍

      1. They are indeed. There was a period, early Sixties I guess, when my Dad cycled to work. On the way home one evening a flock of them divebombed him while he was waiting at traffic lights. Absolutely covered him in white blobs. My sister and I thought it was hysterical but Dad didn’t!

Caroline is very talented. I’ve played her several times as a solo act and she has opened for Jimmy Buffett and the Zac Brown Band, and they invited her to join the band. So she now has a band and solo career.

          1. I was probably about 7 then and my sister 5, so we wouldn’t really have understood why Dad was so upset about it. You get to know things better as you grow up, don’t you.

Caroline was one of the musicians who did home concerts during the pandemic. She was charming, and utterly chaotic!
