Jen had a bad night. Usually when she went out for drinks with the girls after work, she’d limit herself to two drinks in two hours; however, last night something was bugging her and she lost control.

The next morning, Jen felt like crap. She brewed a fresh pot of coffee, inhaling the deep, earthy bouquet. The first sip tasted awful. “Yuck! It’s like mud!” Jen exclaimed. She spit the offending coffee into the sink.

Jen rolled her eyes when she realized in her hungover state she mistook the bag of potting soil for the bag of freshly ground coffee.

  1. Oh, no, that’s hilarious, though I suppose not so for Jen! 🙂 I’m guessing it didn’t help what she was upset about and what caused her to get so drunk in the first place. I can imagine myself doing something like this when in a muddled state. Nice one, Nancy!

    1. Similar bags, brown contents, and a less than clear head …. a recipe for disaster. It could happen. How many of us have confused sugar for salt? After a batch of salty cinnamon buns, I’ll never make that mistake again! And I don’t even drink! 😂

Thanks for a wonderful comment, Brenda.
