Oh Henry, how I adore him, my Big Hunk of Good & Plenty! There were others before him, like the Three Musketeers. They thought they were the last of the Hot Tamales but they were just a bunch of Milk Duds who let me slip through their Butterfingers. Mike & Ike were a couple of cute Sugar Babies who gave me the Chuckles but their Tootsie Rolls caused many Snickers. Mr. Goodbar had the Red Hots for me but his Watchamacallit was covered with Dots! Twins Skittles and Razzles wooed me; alas, I was allergic to their Kit Kat. I thought I was destined to remain a lonely Sweetart until Henry, my Lifesaver, swept me off my feet with his Kisses as sweet as a Bit-O-Honey. I felt my Starburst.

  1. How fun! 🍭 Reminds me of a few students who used candy bars glued to a poster board, to create messages, like inviting another to a dance. Also, I was in a candy store in my hometown recently. Would be the perfect place to read your poem! 🍬A very cute place, decorated like Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory. 🍫

  2. Nancy, you wit this just right. Love your musical selection also; used to dance to that one a lot at the bar. I think it’s a good thing she finally found a clean, well-endowed lover. 😉
