One winter my Uncle Bobby decided to build a rocket ship. July arrived and it was finally ready. Well, the damn thing sputtered and smoked and made all kinds of weird noises but it suddenly started sparking and actually took off. It was kinda wobbly at first but it just kept going higher and higher until it disappeared into the night sky. We all stood there with our jaws hanging open, expecting to see the ship come crashing down any second – but it didn’t. Damn thing is, we never did see Uncle Bobby again. Boy, I sure do miss him!

    1. Dear Rochelle,

Thank you! I am confident we have not seen the last of Uncle Bobby!

In 2021, I wrote a long story introducing Uncle Bobby; it’s still one of my faves. I sort of forgot about him until recently. I’m glad I resuscitated him; Uncle Bobby’s a great character to work with.

It is a good song, isn’t it?

      Thanks again. Shalom.

      1. Indeed one of my favourite music/videos by the Waterboys … the animation is so intriguing 🤨… nearly 3.00 am here and it’s back to sleep for me 😴🌏😊
